At the lecture, Professor Jiang Zhihong first introduced the progress of Macao University of Science and Technology in the research of Chinese pharmacy, including the cooperation with domestic and foreign universities and research institutions, the research and development results of key laboratories and the future planning。Macao University of Science and Technology is committed to the cross-integration research of traditional Chinese medicine and other disciplines such as artificial intelligence and big data, which effectively promotes the scientific and technological innovation and economic development of Macao and even the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area。Then, Professor Jiang introduced the progress of the new technology of TCM quality evaluation and the basic research and application of TCM efficacy substances。He said that the introduction of modern information technology means such as big data and artificial intelligence can not only deepen our exploration and understanding of the efficacy mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine, but also provide scientific basis and technical support for the identification of traditional Chinese medicine and the research and development of new drugs。Professor Jiang pointed out that interdisciplinary research is an important way to promote biomedical research, especially traditional Chinese medicine research。Chinese medicine comes from plants and animals，Its pharmacological action involves many levels such as cells, tissues and even human body，Therefore, it is necessary to carry out in-depth research through the knowledge and technology of biology, biochemistry, computational biology and other disciplines.Especially the application of systems biology，It can enable researchers to understand and master the mechanism of action of Chinese medicine from a more macroscopic perspective。
